David Wrightson

David is one of the founders of Wise Life Services. He has an extensive disability support background, working in the sector for over twenty-five years. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at the University of New South Wales and received a Bachelor of Welfare Studies from University of Western Sydney.

He worked as a Manager for the Disability Assessment and Advisory Team with the Tasmanian Department of Disability Services from 2011-2019. David is passionate about supporting people within a person-centred, active support and skill development framework to assist them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. He developed and rans “Amazing Mates” which was a friendship building group program specifically for people who have an intellectual disability. David was Practice Lead of Wise Life Services from 2021 - 2023.

Sash Busa – Chief Operations Officer

 

Sash brings extensive corporate strategic and executive leadership skills to his role. Sash recently worked as the NDIS Regional Manager for Local Area Coordination in Tasmania for Baptcare, overseeing statewide NDIS PITC operations, teams and functions. Sash has worked in various roles in the not-for-profit sector as an NDIS Program Manager, Service Area Manager and Local Area Coordinator for DHHS.

Sash is passionate about fostering high-quality service delivery, as well as leading organisations to succeed. Sash has a lived disability experience and is driven to support people of all abilities to live a good life.

Rob Wise – Program Manager COS RC

 

Rob is one of the founders of Wise Life Services. Rob has 10 years’ experience working with people across various community service roles. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science (counselling) and has worked in a range of community service roles including youth work, drug and alcohol, mental health, disability support and as an NDIS Local Area Coordinator.

Rob is passionate in working with people of all abilities and helping support individuals to maximise their skills and thus their social and employment opportunities. Rob finds it rewarding working alongside individuals to make a real change in their life.

Ana Dixit - SIL team Leader

 

Ana has a background in support work and aged care and oversees daily operations of our support independent living accommodation program. Ana is very person centered and is keen to support individuals succeed in their daily life. Ana holds a diploma in general studies and certificates in individuals support and dementia awareness.

Kim Strickland - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Kim has over 25 years of experience in the disability industry beginning at Bairnsdale Regional Health Services. She worked as a Disability Service Coordinator for DHHS (Tasmania), and then Anglicare as Client Services Manager leading their Intensive Support Service.

Kim worked at Baptcare as a Local Area Coordinator, Team Leader managing the Gateway Disability LAC Team, the National Disability Insurance LAC Team, and the Disability Care Coordination Team.

From 2017, Kim managed Orana in East Devonport. This community based aged care facility offered overnight respite and community access for people with a disability. She returned to Hobart in 2021 as a NDIS Community Manager.

Kim’s passion is to empower participants. Enabling them to be actively involved to achieve their best life.

Peter Willoughby - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Peter has over twenty five years experience in the Human Services field with the Tasmanian Government. Peter specalises in the areas of community recovery, crisis intervention, counselling, and community development. Peter was involved in crisis support during the 2013 Dunalley Bushfires. He has a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Monash University in Melbourne. Peter is person-focused and passionate about seeing individuals flourish and achieving their goals.

Rosie Cobb - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Rosie has over 6 years' experience working in the Disability Sector and has worked in various disability roles including; Disability Support Consultant, NDIS Local Area Coordinator, Service Manager, Residential Youth Worker, Teacher’s Aide and as a Support Worker.

Rosie is passionate about parasports, high quality service delivery, and working alongside participants to work on barriers and strengths to reach goals. Rosie has a Bachelor of Human Services from University of Queensland.

Michael Sims - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Michael has over twenty years’ experience in health and human services administration, during which he has collaborated with organisations like Common Ground Tasmania, Globalnet Academy and Self-Help Workplace. Michael is passionate for youth leadership as a coach and committee member at the Kingborough-Huon Basketball Association. Michael also volunteers as a puppy raiser with Guide Dogs Tasmania. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science (BA), an MBA from the University of Tasmania and a Cert IV in Training and Assessing. Michael’s lived experience with mental health, has shaped his enthusiasm to help others find a fulfilling life.

Claudia Chambers - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Claudia is a coach, support worker and educator who loves working one on one to find out what works best for each person. Her background is in coaching, education and the creative arts and she has worked for community organisations including The Quest for Life Foundation, Accessible Arts NSW and the Sylvanvale Foundation, as well as at TAFE, schools, and other workplaces. She has a masters degree in Coaching Psychology and is passionate about supporting people so they can live their best selves. She meditates daily, loves learning about plants, and has a cat called Salami who she adores.

 

Syed Bilal Bukhari - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Syed enjoys mentoring individuals and has a passion for working with youth and adolescents. Syed is keen to help people improve their mental health and wellbeing. Syed has worked as a youth mentor and in the community services and finance industry. Syed has a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University in Sydney and a Diploma in Community Services.

Gaby Rinaldi - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Gaby comes to our team with a strong background in employment services and qualifications in health. She holds a Diploma of Health Sciences and a Certificate IV in Business, and has completed two years of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Gaby brings six years of experience in both mainstream and disability employment services, having worked notably with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

Gaby is passionate about helping individuals access the supports and services they need, ensuring no one misses out on essential resources. She believes in the power of tailored support to enable individuals to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Allan Russell - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

Allan has over 25 years’ experience working in community services and public health. Allan has worked in roles such as: education support worker for youth with disability and/or mental illness; community linking programs for people with mental illness and/or disability; managing a “clubhouse” for people with mental illness, managing teams of people providing individual support services to people living with disability, metal illness ore homelessness; managing support services for people living with homelessness; case management in disability, mental health and homeless services; as an advocate for change in public mental health services in NSW; in policy development in NSW mental heal services and Victorian public health. More recently Allan has worked as a NDIS LAC and quality assurance manager. Allan has degrees in anthropology and has studied education, and policy development in graduate programs. Allan is passionate about supporting people to overcome the barriers they face, and to build their strengths to live the lives they want to.

 

Connor Campbell - Recovery coach and Support Coordinator

 

With a background in Psychological Science from the University of Tasmania, Connor has a strong passion in holistic solutions to both wellbeing and to mental health and believes in the ability to empower others. Connor has a mental health interest and a passion for working with youth and adolescents. Connor believes healthy relationships and communities are vital for holistic recovery. Inspired by the lived experiences of those around him, Connor has dedicated himself to supporting others in fostering healthy relationships, developing positive mental health practices and consistently pursuing relevant goals and interests.
